NED University library is the largest lending Library in the field of
Science, Engineering & Technology in Karachi. With a few notable
exceptions the greater part of the library stack is freely available to
all the categories of users. Certain categories of material are
restricted to be used only within the library premises, like Reference
books, Hand books, Year books, Encyclopedias, Printed catalogues,
standard bibliographies, abstracts and indexes.
The library offers specialized services on University campus
utilizing computer retrieval of bibliographical databases, containing
references of thousands of articles, books, proceedings, technical
reports and statistics. This service is available to library patrons
through Intranet and Internet, and patrons can access information
available in the library from anywhere they like, provided they have the
library membership and access to Internet.
Information services offer a full range of research and consulting
services to commercial organization, institutions and individuals.
Automated indexes on CD-ROM is also accessible on the library network.
